The Capitol Free-mo Modelers setup our modules at the Thomas Jefferson Library, Arlington, VA on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Five members with modules attended during the event. Several other members were also able to attend. We were open to the library patrons and there were a few that viewed the trains.
Due to the size of the room, not all modules were brought to the set-up. The modules that were there included: "Plank Yard" (half of it, at least) by Dave Beckstein;
this was followed by Don Miller's mini-mo curves, one 30-degrees and the other 60-degrees;
then there was "DAC Siding", a passing track module by Larry Case;
"Windsor Vineyard" was next, one of Larry's new 45-degree curves (the vines still haven't been planted yet) follow by his still un-named other 45-degree curve;
then there was Dan Piccotto's new wye, "Baltimore Junction", which has had work done on it since last time;
off one leg of "Baltimore Jct" was "Clarence, Ill.", a straight two-section module being built by Clarence Guenther;
tacked on the end, to be used as a switching lead, was a short mini-mo curve by Dan Piccotto;
off the other leg of "Baltimore Jct" was another curve, "Orphan", which is a group owned module - after each show, a different member is expected to take it home and add something to it - prior to this show Dan Piccotto took it home, adding legs on the bottom and tree stumps on the top.
We had about 34 feet of mainline from end to end, with another 7 feet off "Baltimore Junction".
We finally have enough curves to make more than a 180-degree turn, but now we need to get everything looking better. At this point, we could use some LDE's (Layout Design Elements) in order to have more areas to store and switch equipment.
